The stone, setting and surrounding metal need inspection. Tightening alone may not solve worn or missing prongs. Stone type, treatments, existing damage and access affect which repair methods are suitable. Specialist work is subject to suitability and availability.
What affects the repair cost?
The number and condition of the prongs, any rebuilding and the stone’s requirements drive the work. A missing gemstone adds a separate sourcing and matching cost. No replacement stone is assumed to be identical without checking.

Stop wearing a piece with a loose stone. Keep it in a closed container and bring any recovered stones. Avoid ultrasonic cleaning until the setting and gemstone have been checked.
